A man was found dead Sunday morning of an apparent homicide in Clason Point.

News 12 is told the victim, 26-year-old Nestor Ventura, was hanging out in his complex courtyard when he was fatally shot.

Police arrived at the Academy Gardens Complex on Commonwealth Avenue just before 4 a.m., where they found Ventura shot multiple times in the chest.

First responders rushed him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

From security video obtained by police, it seems the victim and the gunman got into an argument at the courtyard before the man pulled out a gun and fired at Ventura.

Police released surveillance video of a man they say they're looking to question. The video shows the man walking in and out of the complex.

Police are investigating how the man got into the complex, stating a security guard has to grant guests access.

A $2,500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
