WOODLAWN -

A woman is dead after a suspected drunk driving incident in Woodlawn, according to officials.

News 12 is told the man behind the wheel was driving about 70 mph when he jumped a curb, taking the life of a 33-year-old woman.

The woman, who has now been identified as Natasha Mar from Brooklyn, was waiting at a bus stop with a 49-year-old man on Sunday around 9 p.m.

News 12 is told Francisco Rosario was under the influence while driving southbound on Jerome Avenue. That’s when he apparently swerved onto the sidewalk at the corner of Bainbridge Avenue, striking the victim and the man waiting at the bus stop. News 12 is told the man is still alive.

Both were taken to the hospital where the woman was pronounced dead.

The driver is now facing several charges, including assault, reckless endangerment and driving while intoxicated.
