Police in East Haven have released body camera footage of an animal control officer being attacked by dogs.

The incident happened at an East Haven home Monday after a man walking on the street was bitten.

Officers say they arrived at the home and found the victim with several dog bites.

Police body camera video shows three dogs lunging and attacking an animal control officer at the scene.

The officer tried to secure the dogs with a stick but was unsuccessful.

Video shows an East Haven police officer eventually steps in and deploys a stun gun causing the dogs to run away.

Officials say the owner of the dogs is facing charges.
