Parrotheads flocked to the Jones Beach theater Thursday for a daylong celebration of Jimmy Buffett.
The tailgate itself draws thousands of fans, who arrive early to set up their very own Margaritaville outside of the concert.
One fan from Lindenhurst told News 12’s Erin Colton that he drove his RV in at midnight and is all set with an 8-foot pool in the bed of his pickup truck.
Others come with full-stocked bars and outdoor games.
“It’s just a day to have a good time with friends, family, and we’re just going to have a blast,” says one tailgater who arrived early for the parking lot party. “It’s going to be a great time.”
Some say they’ll already start planning for next year after today’s concert ends.
The tailgate is a full-day experience of its own.
