Fake money blowing around the Garden State Parkway at the Driscoll Bridge caused confusion Friday afternoon.
Drivers reported seeing dozens of $20 bills flying around the highway. The bills were also found at the Cheesequake Rest Stop.
Upon closer inspection, the $20 bills were obviously fake and had what appeared to be Chinese characters written on them.
News 12 New Jersey was told that the fake bills may have been used as a form of advertisement for a business.
News 12 reached out to the New Jersey State Police for more information but did not hear back.
