Some elected officials and residents are slamming Con Edison following ongoing power outages and problems in Brooklyn over the past few days.

Residents at 245 Hawthorne St. were just a few among thousands who lost power this weekend. But that building is still dealing with power issues Tuesday, as they continue to operate on low voltage.

State Sen. Zellnor Myrie and Assemblywoman Diana Richardson have been in Crown Heights working with upset residents over the past two days to discuss the power problems they've been dealing with ever since last weekend's extreme heat.

The Hawthorne tenants say some elderly residents are trapped in their apartments without working elevators. Others don't have working air conditioners or refrigerators. They say Con Ed has been giving them false deadlines as to when proper power will be restored.

Some residents even say due to the time changes for when power will be back, they aren't able to properly prepare. Others say they've even considered staying in a hotel.

Con Edison did not immediately respond to News 12's request for comment.
