Police: Group attacked father and son after Fourth of July dispute

Authorities are searching for a group of men wanted for assaulting a father and his son on the Fourth of July.
News 12 is told a 23-year-old man was chased by a group around 10 p.m. The incident was caught on surveillance video inside a deli on River Avenue and McClellan Street.
Officials say the group was lighting fireworks next to a car when authorities say the owner of the vehicle confronted them. That is when they started to beat him. The victim’s son intervened and they allegedly began to gang up on him as well.
Police say the group started chasing him down the street when one of the men stabbed the 23-year-old multiple times in the back with a glass bottle. The victim ran into a deli for safety.
News 12 is told the victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition. He is expected to be OK.
Police say his father suffered minor injuries.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
