BUSHWICK -

The search is on for a man who broke into an apartment in Bushwick.

The incident was caught on camera as the man climbed through a window at an apartment on the corner of Bushwick Avenue and Van Buren Street back on Tuesday, July 2, around 6 a.m.

Investigators say he stole about $1,300 worth of electronics and jewelry from the two women who live there. He also stole of the tenant's passports. Neither of the women were home at the time of the burglary.

One of the women who lives inside the apartment tells News 12 they noticed they were broken into when they got home.

"My window in my bedroom had been cracked and propped open. Everything on my windowsill was in disarray"

Police are reminding people in the area to keep their windows and doors locked.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
