New Jersey ranked almost dead last in states to start a business

Personal finance site WalletHub has released its annual report of the Best and Worst States to Start a Business in the U.S. -- and the Garden State ranked among the worst.
According to the report, New Jersey was ranked 49 out of 50 states, with only Rhode Island faring worse.
The report ranked New Jersey 44 in ‘business environment’, 15 in ‘access to resources’, and dead last in ‘business costs’.
The best state to start a business is Texas, followed by Utah and Georgia.
Across the tristate area, New York was ranked 42, while Connecticut was ranked 46.
