Health officials warn of possible measles exposure in Lakewood

New Jersey health officials are warning the public about a possible measles exposure in Lakewood on July 10.
The New Jersey Department of Health says that anyone who visited the Center for Health Education Medicine and Dentistry located at 1771 Madison Ave. between 1:45 p.m. and 6 p.m. on July 10 could potentially be exposed to measles.
Those at risk include those who have not been vaccinated against the disease, the very young or those with compromised immune systems.
Measles symptoms include rash, high fever, cough, runny nose and red, watery eyes. Symptoms could develop as late as July 31.
Anyone who believes that they were exposed and at risk should contact a health professional before seeking treatment.
