Dozens flocked to Governor Smith Playground for the first annual Big Bronx Festival on Saturday.
The free event offered up food, drinks and a chance to watch local artists perform. Acts that played included Judy Torres, Roxanne Shante and Dynasty.
The field was scattered with Bronx vendors selling food and other items.
Crowds also witnessed freestyle wrestling matches with a Mexican flair. Wrestlers wore superhero masks in luche libre matches.
Event organizers tell News 12 that they plan on making the Big Bronx Festival an annual event.
