New book highlights 111 of the Bronx's hidden gems

From the Bronx Bombers to the Bronx Zoo, the Bronx is home to several landmarks.
A new book is exploring places in the Bronx that aren’t found in the everyday travel guide.
Joe Conzo Jr., the photographer and co-creator of 111 Places in Da Bronx written by Kevin Fitzpatrick, says the book has given him the opportunity to learn more about the borough he calls home.

"This book has taught me so much about the borough that I love so much,” says Conzo.

The book is a true insider’s guide to the borough's rich history and culture that is often a page left unturned.

The book is filled with hidden gems like 2754 Grand Concourse where the original creator of Batman lived.

"The Bronx has so much to offer. We're sitting here in Poe Park where Edgar Allen Poe had his cottage, where his wife Virginia passed away,” says Conzo.

The book  is meant to inspire Bronx residents to rediscover the borough they know and love.
