Fuhgeddaboudit Food: Fragole

A Brooklyn resident started his career delivering food and is now the proud owner of an Italian restaurant in Carroll Gardens.
Owner Victor Navarette, who is originally from Mexico, came to New York for school but his plans changed forever when he was hit by a car in 2006.
The accident made Navarette unable to deliver food for Fragole when he was wheelchair-bound, so the then owners gave him a spot in the kitchen.
Navarette went from bus boy, to manager and now a part-owner.
"I just decided to keep doing this because I love it," says Navarette.
He says his love for the restaurant is what makes the food so good.
The menu features an array of Italian options from classic Bolognese and truffle raviolis.
Fragole also has five different types of pasta that are made from scratch every morning.
"Fettuccine, gnocchi, pappardelle, linguine, ravioli...this is like home, everything is home made,” says Navarette.
