Just in time for 4th of July – New York ranked 2nd least patriotic state in the US

(AP) A new survey released by WalletHub says New York is the second least patriotic state in the U.S.
The survey evaluated each state based on two categories: military engagement and civic engagement.
Within each category, the states were compared with different indicators of patriotism, such as share of adults who voted in the 2016 presidential elections and veterans per 1,000 civilian adults.
New Jersey was named the most unpatriotic state in the U.S.
Neither state has very many veterans per capita compared to other states in the U.S.
The most patriotic state is New Hampshire, followed by Wyoming and Vermont.
The website did note red states tend to be more patriotic than blue states.
