Primary day features 2 races in Nassau, 6 in Suffolk

Long Islanders will head to the polls for some primary elections today. There are 8 races in total island-wide.
There are two races in Nassau County - for county legislator in District 3, including the Elmont area, and Long Beach for city council.
In Suffolk, there are six races - including county legislator in District 11 in the Town of Islip, and various positions in the towns of East Hamptons, Southampton and Huntington.
Polls are open today between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.
