State police say they know what they are searching for at the MIRA trash-to-energy facility in Hartford in connection to the Jennifer Dulos case.
They have not yet said what it is they are looking for -- or if they have found it. They say evidence found early in the case led them to the trash facility.
Police K9s have been out aiding in the search for evidence in the mounds of garbage. Officials have been searching the facility for 19 days now.
Officials say there have been as many as 20 investigators at the facility every day for at least three weeks. They say they have been going through an average of 35 tons of trash a day.
They say the suspects, estranged husband Fotis Dulos and his girlfriend Michelle Troconis, were seen in the Hartford area right after Jennifer Dulos's disappearance.
Video surveillance has shown the pair disposing items at 30 different locations along a four-mile stretch and police believe those items are connected with Jennifer Dulos's disappearance.
Dulos, a mother of five from New Canaan, has been missing for four weeks.
Police say they have been motivated since the case started and will stay at the trash facility until they solve it.
