House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pays a visit to Hartford

One of the most powerful women in American government rallied with Connecticut Democrats in Hartford Friday night.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke to a crowd of over 1,000 at the Hartford Convention Center, applauding the state's accomplishments and giving her analysis of President Donald Trump. The crowd answered back with one word: "impeach."
"When we get the facts and we present the facts, we will honor our oath of office," Pelosi responded.
Connecticut politicians in attendance say Pelosi is the person who has and will stand up to Trump.
"She helps us to speak with one voice, as she speaks truth to power," says Rep. Rosa DeLauro.
Gov. Ned Lamont was also in attendance, and rebutted Trump on his hard line on deportation, saying, "Not here, not in this state not now, not ever. That's not what America's all about, that's certainly not what Connecticut is all about."
Pelosi also commented on the situation in Iran, saying she was relieved Trump decided to abort a planned retaliatory attack after an American drone was shot down.
