HEMPSTEAD -

Police say a man has been charged with attempted murder in connection to a shooting last month in Hempstead.

According to police, a man got into an argument with another man. That is when, police say, the suspect pulled out a gun and the victim ran into a building on Terrace Avenue.

Police say the gunman then handed the weapon to a second man, who went into the building and started shooting.

No one was hurt during the incident.

Police say they have arrested Trevor Ford, of Hempstead, who will be arraigned on attempted murder charges.

The second suspect, Kawand Cofield, of Hempstead, was previously arrested on weapons charges.
