Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who killed a man in Longwood over the weekend.
Christopher Nieves, 37, was fatally struck at the intersection of Bruckner Boulevard and Austin Place Sunday morning.
Emilio Rosas has been working in the area for 25 years and says he sees people crossing the boulevard not in the crosswalk every day.
The NYPD says Nieves was crossing Bruckner Boulevard early Sunday morning, not in the crosswalk, when he was hit.
The family is now desperately calling for someone to come forward as police continue to search for the brown or tan Chevy Tahoe involved.
Abigail Linos, 24, was killed by a hit-and-run driver at the same intersection in 2013.
The Department of Transportation told News 12 there has not been a fatality in that intersection since the one in 2013 and that it will be reviewing Sunday's accident.
