Yonkers firefighters made a special delivery on Father's Day when they were called to a home for a woman in labor.
Yonkers firefighters Troy Filbert, Robert Dolitty, Anthony Perez and Lt. Thomas Hewitt said there wasn’t enough time to get the mother to the hospital.

The first responders wasted no time springing into action with the maternity kit in tow. They say there was no time to be nervous, and that it happened so fast that their training took over.
The baby was born happy and healthy, and now shares the same birthday as Lt. Hewitt.
Hewitt says it was the best gift he could have asked for.
“It was nice to be able to do something nice for someone and to have a great outcome like this,” he says.
