Greenwich history buffs honored at garden party

History buffs in Greenwich were honored at a garden party.
The Greenwich Historical Society held its annual garden party Tuesday.
The event not only celebrates volunteers, but also showcases gardens designed at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Volunteer of the year, Jessica Stedman Guff, says organizations like hers need the next generation to continue to be creative leaders.
The location where the party was held is also a national historic landmark and was home to Connecticut's first art colony.
