LAKE RONKONKOMA -

A K-9 unit helped track down a pharmacy burglar in Lake Ronkonkoma, according to police.

Officer Mark Sacco and his K-9 partner Bosco responded early Sunday morning to a burglary at Slater Pharmacy on Hawkins Avenue in Lake Ronkonkoma.

Police say the pair saw a hole in the wall in the corner of the building and tracked a man through a wooded area behind the store.

Police say 36-year-old Jason Romano was found with pieces of the wall on his clothes. They say they also found prescription medication and stolen cash on Romano.
