NYPD beekeepers reported that a hive with approximately 34,000 bees was safely removed from a tree on East 197th Street.
According to a tweet, those bees weren’t planning on going anywhere in the stormy weather, but they are on their way to a new home.
Residents say the bees were acting up when the wind started blowing. That's when someone called 911 for help.
The beekeeper was stung around five times.
Earlier this month, another swarm of bees was found just blocks away on the Grand Concourse.
