GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP -

Police in Gloucester Township are looking for a man who approached a 12-year-old girl walking her dog.

The incident happened Wednesday afternoon around 3:45 p.m. in the area of the 1000 Block of Cummings Avenue.

According to police, a man called out to the girl from his car saying he was lost.

Police say the child did not respond, causing the driver to exit the vehicle holding a clipboard and continue to talk to her.

He did not approach her, but when he continued to try and speak with her, she walked away.

The man is said to be 55-65 years of age with white shoulder length hair, black sunglasses and teeth that are spaced apart.

He also spoke with a speech impediment.

The car is described as a newer white pickup with red and black lettering on the side.
