Measles activity has been reported in 24 states, including New Jersey, which has seen 14 cases. There are currently measles outbreaks in seven states.

The Center for Disease Control says that 880 cases of measles have been reported this year -- 41 in the last week alone. The agency says this is the highest number of measles cases the country has seen in nearly three decades, and the highest since the disease was considered eradicated in 2000.
