WILLIAMSBURG -

Police say they're searching for a man and woman wanted in connection to an attempted robbery in Williamsburg on April 12.

News 12 is told it happened near 215 Maujer Street. Police say a 78-year-old man accidentally rolled a cart of recycled bottles into a parked car.

They say a man and woman apparently got out of the car and demanded money for the repairs. Police say the man then took out a weapon and searched the victim's pockets while the woman acted as lookout.

The victim was slashed across the face. The two suspects did not take anything.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
