Man gets 90-day sentence for hit-and-run death of DJ Jinx Paul

The man who pleaded guilty to a hit-and-run crash that killed a popular DJ was sentenced Wednesday from the Supreme Court in Downtown Brooklyn.
Kevin Ozario was sentenced to 90 days in prison, five years’ probation and 100 hours of community service away from children.
Ozario admitted to leaving the scene of a crash in 2016 that killed Jean Pal Guerrero, also known as DJ Jinx Paul.
Ozario was supposed to be sentenced earlier this month, but had his arraignment postponed when he was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing his niece – a violation of plea deal.
The victim's family was not pleased with the severity of the punishment.
"You would think that they would give him more years," said Gina Zarate, the victim's cousin. "It's a death, it's someone that is not here today."
Guerrero's family says they plan on filing a civil lawsuit.
