Chef's Quick Tips: Planting seeds

This week, Chef Patti Popp and owner of Sport Hill Farm in Easton shows Tina Redwine how to make farm-fresh recipes.
Planting seeds
Directions
Cut up a paper towel into cylinders, put in plastic berry container and fill each cylinder with organic potting soil to just short of the top.  Bury just one or two seeds twice the depth of the seed itself.  Use a water bottle to give it  a good “drink” as Patti says and then close the lid and place your mini “greenhouse”  on a window sill and watch your seedlings grow. You can also use an old egg carton instead of the paper towel and berry container by filling up the individual egg slots with potting soil and following the directions above.
