Commuters are getting ready for changes coming to the L-train next weekend.
Officials hope that the project will rejuvenate the L-train tunnel, but that means a little more planning for riders.
"It's going to be a reduction in service on the weekends and at night," says Pat Foye, Chairman and CEO of the New York MTA.
The previous plan called for a total shutdown of service for 1 month between Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn and Eighth Avenue in Manhattan.

The current plan will keep service moving with alternate options available to get around.
Transit officials say they hope to complete the project within the next 15 to 20 months.
