Some homeowners in Seaford say they're trying to stop their sheds and garages from sinking into the ground.

Some homeowners in Seaford say they're trying to stop their sheds and garages from sinking into the ground.
Elma Hasi, who's lived on Marilyn Drive since the 1960s, has been using bricks and other items to prop up a corner of her garage to keep it from collapsing. Fourteen years ago, she put $20,000 into a new garage with a slab that's now broken and sinking into the ground.
Hasi says her insurance company won't cover it, and contractors say they've never seen anything like it.
Several neighbors on Marilyn and Bowers drives have similar problems.
Neighbors say they reached out to the Town of Hempstead to no avail.
