Police: 5 greens damaged by vandals at Port Jefferson County Club

Vandals damaged five greens at the Port Jefferson Country Club golf course earlier this month, police say.
They say an unknown substance was poured on the greens, seriously damaging the grass.
It happened sometime between 7 p.m. on April 8, and 7 a.m. the next morning.
Police say it will cost approximately $10,000 to repair.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
