Mount Hope man arrested in fatal Otisville hit-and-run

A suspect has been arrested in the hit-and-run in Orange County that killed a mother of three.
State police say surveillance video and tips led them to 38-year-old Steven Grundel, of Mount Hope, who they say fatally struck Kiera Babcock with his truck and left her on the side of State Street in Otisville.
Surveillance video captured the incident two weeks ago. Babcock's body was found the following morning in front of Ule's Truck and Auto Repair.
"Although there's nothing we can do to bring her back, we hope the arrest helps the family and friends with closure during this time of loss," says New York State Police Lt. Reva Navarro.
Police say Grundel's truck was found with front-end damage.
Grundel faces a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in death. He is due back in court Monday.
