Midnight snackin’: Survey finds America’s favorite ‘drunk foods’
Many people say that after a night of heavy drinking, they turn to some of their favorite comfort foods to soak up the alcohol.
A survey just released by OnePoll in conjunction with the company B-tchin’ Sauce took a look at what foods drunk Americans were eating.
The survey polled 2,000 Americans about their drunken eating habits and found that 82 percent said that they snack while drunk. About half of those surveyed said that they regretted their choice of snacks the next day.
According to the survey, most Americans were eating diet-busting snacks with high calorie contents – with an overwhelming majority opting for late-night pizza. Other food items topping the list include chips and dip, French fries, nachos and tacos.
The survey also found that about 40 percent of those surveyed found food in their bed the next morning and about 20 percent said that they found food in odd places the next morning like the bathroom or closet.
The people surveyed said that their biggest regrets the next morning were calorie intact, stomach issues and the mess left behind.
