Man returns overdue library book 50 years later

As the old saying goes, better late than never.
A Bergen County man has finally returned an overdue library book that he first borrowed in the 1960s.
Harry Krane, of Fair Lawn, says that he found the book “The Family Book of Verse” while cleaning his basement. He says that he finally decided to return the book last month to the Memorial Middle School Library.
Library officials say that they were happy to get the book back.
"I was very pleased to receive this hard copy so I could share the story with our students. And also to talk about the responsibility that when you take out a book from the library, the student should be responsible to return it,” says Vice Principal Dominick Tarquinio.
The book was still in good condition when it was returned and the school will be waiving the late fee.
