Family of Bridgeport homicide victim says he was ‘full of life’
The family of Bridgeport’s seventh homicide victim told News 12 that 21-year-old Tyron Heard had his whole life ahead of him.
Police say 20 shots were fired into a car parked in the East End Sunday night, killing Heard and wounding two others.
"My son was very outgoing. Everybody loved him. He didn't bother anybody. He was full of life,” she says. “For somebody to do this to my child, it hurts."
As investigators search for the gunman, Heard's mother asked for the public's help paying for his funeral.
The funeral will take place sometime next week. The family says anyone who would like to help with funeral expenses can drop off donations at the Baker-Isaac Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to call the Bridgeport Police Tip Line at 203-576-8477.
