Officials: Fire breaks out at vacant Bridgeport duplex

A fire damaged part of a Bridgeport duplex Monday morning.
Fire crews responded to the scene on Willow Street to find flames and smoke on the second and third floors on the left side of the building.
Officials say no one was home during the fire and that the property recently became vacant.
There were still a lot of belongings on and around the area, which officials say made combatting the fire more difficult.
"If we have a structure that is impeded with a lot of personal effects or say if we had an instance where it was a hoarding type of thing, makes it extremely difficult for our personnel to go in and do their jobs," said Bridgeport Assistant Fire Chief James Cook.
Officials say it took about 25 minutes to get the flames under control.
The right side of the duplex was not affected by any smoke or water damage.
Willow Street was closed until the early afternoon due to the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
