A Morris County man is facing charges for allegedly faking a slip-and-fall injury.
Woodbridge police say that 57-year-old Alexander Goldinsky, of Randolph, threw ice on the floor of the cafeteria at his workplace, got down on the ground, and waited until he was discovered.
The incident was caught on security camera. Investigators say that this was an attempt to commit insurance fraud.
Goldinsky is an independent contractor who owns the company All Gold Industries. When the incident occurred, Goldinsky was subcontracted to perform work at a company in Woodbridge, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
The prosecutor says that Goldinsky filed false insurance claims in 2018 related to the incident.
He was charged with insurance fraud and theft by deception.
