Community members are pushing back against a planned Bolla Market in Bay Shore.
The 24-hour convenience store is proposed for a pre-existing Mobil gas station at Bay Shore Road and Manor Lane.
Ellen Greenspan lives just two houses away from the station and has started a petition against the market.
Greenspan says there are already too many convenience stores in the area. She says she fears it could bring to her neighborhood more noise, traffic, loitering and possibly crime.
The Town of Islip did not know when the application would go before the planning board. It says it will take residents' concerns into consideration when reviewing the application.
News 12 did not immediately hear back from Bolla Oil Corp for comment.
