A Camden County man has filed suit after his town prosecuted him for displaying three toilets and Confederate flags in his front yard.
The Courier-Post of Cherry Hill reports Michael Speece of Winslow displayed the toilets - one white, one red and one blue - outside his home along with other decorations, including the flags.
Speece claims the town violated his rights to free speech and free use of his property when it charged him in 2017 with failing to move trash or debris from his yard.
His initial conviction in municipal court was overturned by a state Superior Court judge.
The suit seeks unspecified damages and expenses.
An attorney for the town declined to comment on the suit to the newspaper.
The Associated Press wire services contributed to this report.
