LIRR to cancel several rush hour trains during scheduled repairs

Commuters can expect big changes and possibly some headaches next week on the Long Island Rail Road.
The MTA says Amtrak will be taking some of its tracks out of service on Jan. 7 for repairs.

The LIRR will be canceling several trains during the morning and evening rush hours on most lines to accommodate the work.
Riders are being urged leave extra time and constantly check the schedules. The work is expected to last about a month.
