The assault of a Popeye's employee in West Farms has police on the hunt for at least two suspects.

Police say the victim was taking out the trash during his shift last Monday at the restaurant on 174th Street and Vyse Avenue when he was beaten to the ground unprovoked.

Co-workers say he was treated at a hospital but is still taking medicine for his injuries. They say one of his ears looked black.

Authorities are looking for two men in their late teens or early 20s.

The victim's co-workers say it has been more than a week since the attack, and they are not sure if he is going to come back to work.
