A new trendy spot in Fordham is fulfilling the food and nightlife needs in the area.

Boca Restaurant and Lounge opened in September, but is already making its mark in Fordham.

The owners say they are no strangers to the hospitality industry.

They say Boca is unlike anywhere else in the borough, with an elevated DJ area and an upstairs area that hosts private events.

The menu also features foods from all over the world.

"Our food is phenomenal. I can only invite people to try it so they can see it for themselves," says co-owner Emmanuel Carela.

The menu features mostly Latin American dishes like Boca mofonguitos with shrimp.

A staple of their menu is the sizzling 32-ounce tomahawk steak with a tasty chimichurri sauce.

And you can't forget a specialty cocktail or two to supplement your meal.
