Activists, police renew push to arrest suspect in apparent hate crime

Community activists are renewing efforts to find the person responsible for an apparent act of hate that rocked the borough.
Ann Marie Washington, 57, told police she was simply walking up the stairs at the Church Avenue Q subway station when a man attacked her. She says he was also hurling anti-black slurs in the process.
She was punched multiple times, and realized later that she was stabbed.
No arrest has been made.
Community members handed out flyers with a sketch of the suspect, reminding commuters that he is still on the loose.
The suspect is described as 25 years old with brown hair and standing 5 feet 5 inches tall.
Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the man to call police. A $7,500 reward is being offered by the Anti-Defamation League and the NYPD.
