Police: Man slashed in face after argument at Brooklyn subway station

Police say a 38-year-old man was slashed in the face with a “sharp object” – possibly a box cutter - late Wednesday at a Brooklyn subway station.
Police say their argument started around 11:30 p.m. on board a train at the Nevins Street subway station and led to a physical fight. They say the suspect attacked the victim with a sharp object, then ran off when the train stopped at the Hoyt Street station.
A witness told News 12 that the victim told him a box cutter was used during the attack. He says the victim was slashed from his eye to his mouth as the attacker was leaving the train.
No arrest has been made.
According to the latest statistics from the NYPD, overall crime in New York City is down when comparing October 2018 to October 2017. The stats show, however, that transit crimes are slightly up.
