State Sen. Gustavo Rivera is taking some heat for his Facebook page cover photo in which he's flipping off Trump Tower.

While it's on the Bronx senator's private Facebook page, it was readily visible to the public as of Tuesday night. The photo was uploaded on June 10.

He also took some flak for using profanity on his page.

News 12 met with Rivera on Tuesday.

"Yes, maybe I got a little bit excited," he said. "And that's what happens when your team wins, but ultimately we want to change the city for the better, and that is what we're going to do. Govern for the entire state. And sometimes say a naughty word or two."

He adds that he does not regret the post.

Rivera was first elected to his post in 2010 and is the ranking Democrat on the Senate Health Committee. His district includes the Bronx neighborhoods of Kingsbridge, Fordham, East Tremont and University Heights.
