Officials: 2 injured in Allerton apartment building blaze

Fire officials say a blaze that that started in an Allerton apartment building Tuesday afternoon left two people injured – one seriously.
They say at least three apartments will remain evacuated tonight at the scene on Barnes Avenue.
The fire chief says it took only six minutes for the fire to spread throughout the building. He says there were obstructions and clutter in the two apartments that were directly affected by the flames that made it hard for first responders to do their jobs.
At least 120 firefighters worked to put the flames out. The Red Cross is assisting families that may be in need of shelter.
