State agriculture officials have issued a warning to be on the lookout for a bug that can live in fresh cut Christmas trees.
The bug is called the Spotted Lantern Fly.
The insect has already been spotted in Mercer, Warren and Hunterdon counties.
The insect is capable of laying between 20-30 eggs inside the trees.
Officials say it's best to inspect your tree, before bringing it into your home.
