Public hearing set for DOT road overhaul plan in Brookfield

State transportation officials say they're ready to show Brookfield residents the plans for a multimillion-dollar safety overhaul along the town's busiest roadway.
The DOT says there will be a public hearing Oct. 29 to discuss the proposal for lower Federal Road.
The plans call for several new traffic signals as well as dedicated turn lanes into the area's most popular businesses.
The $6 million project is expected to break ground in the summer of 2021.
