City program hopes to keep school kids active

A new city program at one school in the Bronx is encouraging physical activity in students.
The Health Department's new 'Active Design in Schools' projects includes interactive indoor and outdoor murals and play spaces.
Over 11 schools are participating in the new program, including P.S. 55 in the Bronx.
Fourth-graders at the school are using a mural in their gym, which features child actress Storm Reid from Disney's 'A Wrinkle in Time.'
It's just one of several murals at schools around the city which children can interact with.
Fourth-graders at P.S. 55 start by throwing a rubber ball at words and quotes on the mural when a teacher instructs them to. Organizers say the game creates an interactive experience intended to keep kids moving around.
Organizers say the game encourages both healthy habits and physical activity.
