The Fight Hunger Bridgeport Walk at Seaside Park was held to help benefit the Bishop Jean Williams Food Pantry.
State and local leaders were on hand to kick off the walk, which was dedicated to ending hunger locally and around the world.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal said, “These marchers are inspiring and impressive, so exciting to be with them on a beautiful day when they are showing America how young people can make a difference just by putting one foot in front of the other."
The walk was sponsored by the Park City Initiative Corporation.
